J'ai perdu mon corps (2020)

The animated film 'J'ai perdu mon corps' tells two stories: that of a boy who falls in love with the disembodied voice of a girl he often delivers to on his pizza routes and that of his disembodied hand that roams the streets of Paris in search of its owner. This absurd juxtaposition of the romantic aspirations of the boy and the frantic voyage of its hand weaves together a gentle and moving picture of hurt, loss and mourning. While the boy's perspective of the film may show the Paris we are used to seeing on the screen, the hand's tale opens up a new perspective, the one from the gutter, close to the ground, the grub and the downtrodden dirt. This piece represents the part of the movie where the hand tries to reach its owner. However, one last obstacle awaits him: a busy highway. His imaginary childhood friend, the astronaut, helps him take the plunge.
